We are constantly engulfed with problems in our lives. Every passing event, situation or a query can be treated with multiple possibilities. Our minds nevertheless choose the most difficult terrain in arriving at a solution. It takes effort to see a situation as it exists and without attaching an ounce of stress to it that we go on to label it as a “problem”.
Because this problem has occurred to “me” or “I”, the situation enlarges in size in the limited realms of our mind. The expanse fogs the other events or our sensitivities to the problem of others. We are now strictly concerned to that which is mine or has an “I” associated in it.
We can make little of the problem nevertheless when we expand the dimensions of our thoughts. What we perceive after all is a subtle game between our minds and our biases. When we imagine this problem as a single grain between our fingers and place it on a picture of the entire galaxy, we would find it hard to locate our problem. Which is all in that little grain. We have now shifted our focus from the center of our issue to the center of the events in the entire galaxy. We now awaken ourselves to irrelevance of our problem and can dismiss it with no further importance.
This approach to a problem will help to mitigate its effects.
